Cleaning & Care

Maintenance Guide

To keep your handcrafted jewelry in good condition, carefully follow the guidelines below:

1.Cleaning and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning: Gently wipe gemstones (quartz, amethyst, jade) and 925 sterling silver pieces with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage surfaces.  For quartz, amethyst, or jade, lightly dab stains with clean water.

Regular Maintenance: If scratches or stains appear on gemstones, gently polish them with a buffing pad. Avoid excessive pressure.  For 925 sterling silver, use 95% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to remove minor stains.

2. Storage and Protection

Dry Environment: Store jewelry away from moisture and heat to prevent tarnishing or discoloration.

Scratch Prevention: Use protective covers (e.g., plastic sleeves) to shield gemstones from shocks or impacts.

3. Stain and Tarnish Prevention

Gentle Cleaning: Avoid oils or substances that may tarnish jade, amethyst, or quartz.

Silver Care: Wipe 925 sterling silver regularly with a dry cloth. For oxidation, clean gently with isopropyl alcohol.

4. Impact Avoidance

Handle with Care: Avoid dropping jewelry or exposing it to harsh impacts to prevent scratches or dents.

Light Handling: Refrain from excessive pulling or twisting of gemstones and silver components.

5. Periodic Inspection

Quarterly Check: Examine jewelry for scratches, stains, or oxidation. Address issues promptly.

Optional Professional Care: Consult a gemstone specialist for stubborn stains or complex repairs.

6. Color Preservation

Sunlight Protection: Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Ideal Conditions: Store jewelry in a softly lit, temperature-controlled environment.
